Who will pay £3 for a burnt pie in the North Stand?

Post by Chris Abbott »

Last season, and I think the season before, I emailed the club about the pies on sale in the North Stand. The pastry was always rock hard. I kept pointing this out, because when you pay such a high price for them they should at least be edible. I took one back and got a refund it was so hard. Clearly the warmers were set too high and by the end of the season I think they got the message because the last one I bought was just right. However, I am not sure I will be rushing to buy them this season because I noticed on Saturday they had put the price up to £3. Shocking or what?

Chicken Balti Pies - Is the only thing I eat from inside the ground. I'm never impressed with the burgers inside the ground.

From time to time I get the odd bit of food inside the ground and they must all set those warmers too high because normally whatever I get seems to be hotter than the centre of the sun.

This thread reminds me of one of the most hilarious things I heard on talk sport.... You rang in for 5 mins to grill the chairman of your club & basically tell him what to do. The chairman in question was phil gartside at bolton . This lad won the prize and whilst everyone was Set for why don't you sign a decent centre forward etc. instead this lad spent 4 mins going on about the pies and boddingtons bitter, in the end the interviewer said what about transfers etc, he retorted with all the extra revenue from the pies and beer, Bolton coud then go out and sign ronaldo!

You mention Boddingtons Bitter, that should never be served at Leeds United but it is. It should be John Smiths, lets hope the Compass Group see the error of the clubs ways.

Boddingtons Out
