As for the routes, if they're anything like the buses down here they're subject to complete change every few years, almost like they wanna keep people on their toes.
Ok we're agreed it's a no 6 I'll send the photo to a pal he's a expert on pubs
What are you needing to know about the pub in the photo, 90MPH?
We're it was ?????
If the no 8 tram route ran to elland road and were agreed that the tram in the photo is no6 there's some thing not right
It's on Lowfields Road as far as I know, shown by the New Peacock pub which in fact was the original OLD Peacock pub near the footie ground. Happy to be corrected but John H and NW I'm sure will check. It's a mistake with the tram number or route, simple as that I suspect.
It's the detective in me possible the tram number is wrong but I can't remember any pubs on lowfields road
I can remember the coop bakery at the top and also the cricket ground at the bottom of lowfields road
Iv had a look on various Leeds web sites and lots of photo's of the one that was posted but can't find which road /street /avenue/ it was on
So the mystery go,s on

Ooh, you've just jogged my memory about this map app :

http://maps.nls.uk/geo/explore/side-by- ... ht=BingHyb

You can use it to go through historical maps in the left pane while scrolling the area on the right for the present day.

The pub faced onto Elland Road. The cricket pitch, which was adjacent to the pub, was on the corner of the junction with Lowfields Road and Elland Road.

Bottom of the pic is the Kop / Gelderd End and opposite is the Scratching Shed now called the South Stand, on Elland Road. At the end of the Lowfields Road terrace across Elland Road is the New Peacock pub.

AFAIK
