I was looking on the newsnow website and i clicked onto a site called The Sports Locker and they gave their best 10 Leeds United Cult Heroes

In no particular order they were
Rodolph Austin
Tony Currie
David Prutton
Andy Hughes
Chris Kamara
Vinnie Jones
Ian Baird
Tony Yeboah
Dominic Matteo
El-Hadji Diouf

Now remember they are considered cult heroes not legends (they are on another part of the forum) but the question i asked is

Who were your cult heroes for Leeds United (past or present)? Would you consider any of the above on your list?

Of that little lot, I would say only the following merit the actual tag of "Leeds cult hero":

Matteo was just a decent pro; Kamara is only a cult hero since he joined Sky; Prutton seriously ?? And the others are too recent ...

I would say the very definition of a Leeds cult hero is encapsulated by one man:

Duncan McKenzie was the cult hero of all cult heroes.

We all know about his jumping over Minis at ER, but last week, watching a Big Match DVD, I remembered him throwing a golf ball from one end of the Stadium to the other. Who the heck does that anyway. I'd forgotten all about that. Jimmy Armfield proudly boasted that on a good day, he could throw a golf ball 125 yards.

CLASSIC!!!

With regards to Tony Currie, Radebe and Gary Kelly, they're more legends than cult heroes, I'd guess...
