Ross just can't finish his own decent play, he always seems to make the wrong pass or snatches at a shot. That said I agree that Smith and Blackstock should be starting the next match with Ross taking a seat on the bench.

Hallelujah !

Has been a bench player for two seasons now in my opinion, I really can't see what our fans see in Ross....totally overrated

He is popular because he puts in the effort and does the salute and the things fans like to see. All well and good when you are having a stormer week in week out but this season Ross has been too inconsistent. The fans will still love him, but that love will have to be ruled by the head because at the moment I think Blackstock can gives us a few more options than Ross.

Nowt against Ross, I like him as much as the next Leeds fan and the competition for places can only do him good.

I really hope they drop McCormack for DB. In the few minutes he was on the pitch he gave us more than Ross did in a whole game.
Let's hope more of our fans see the light dlw  it's like playing with a passenger, may as well have ten men on the park :x

Only time will tell if Blackstock can give us more than Ross. Not a difficult task tbf BUT he's here cos Billy D doesn't rate him and Billy knows how to put a decent side on the pitch.

Whilst Smith might look a better option he is taking our football (back) into the world of Charles Hughes. I think we're better than that ( we certainly should be). I didn't realise BM was a winger/big man manager so I'm disappointed. He needs to find Jason Roberts sharpish.

Whatever the fans think is irrelevant 64. BM bent over backwards to keep Ross and seeks to build a team around him. I know you are a massive BM fan. What I don't know is how you square that particular circle ;)

Now where are my pegs :)

Team built around Ross/Austin installed as captain.....I'm as baffled as you are

I do believe McD requires much more time to build the team he requires to progress onwards & upwards, stability is key !

Btw Billy's team lost 3-1 at Yeovil today

I think we have not found the best position for Ross McCormack. He is clearly not an out and out centre forward and when he plays deep he is a waste. I think he would be better in a position just behind a front two pairing.

The problem with that is who loses their place? At the moment I would prefer us to stick with the current formation and give Blackstock the nod over Ross. After all, Blackstock is the sort of forward we need, someone who plays with pace and off the shoulder, rather than Ross who prefers to go deeper and collect the ball.

Ideally I would like to see Smith, Blackstock and McCormatt all starting, but who do you drop?

No manager has found the right place for Ross. Our midfield gets over run with 4 or 5 in it. Reduce that to accommodate Ross and things can only get worse IMO.

Why do managers have to work so hard to accommodate him if he's so good.

On top of everything else today he was rolling around like Suarez as he tried to con the ref.

The easy answer is McCormack

Three managers have dropped Ross, four managers have switched him from striker to a midfielder, he plays neither role efficiently on a consistent basis so why the hell does McD persevere with McCormack ?
Fans tell me he is too clever for his teammates with his intricate passing....all I see is his passes going astray
Other fans tell me he receives no service when he plays upfront....well Smith has managed six goals in the amount of games I can count on one hand & Dexter scores with his first touch....being a striker is instinctively being in the right place at the right time
Fans also tell me he can"t do everything so what can he do ?
McCormack came to us as a specialist dead ball taker....when did he last plant the ball in the onion bag from a free-kick because I can't recall one ?
He use to take all our corners/set-pieces which we rarely scored from....interesting to see a young kid taking over that role as he created both goals today with two superb crosses, that's how to effect a game when you are a midfielder.
Why should we keep accommodating McCormack, let face it if he was any good the prem teams would have snapped him up by now, he'd also walk into the Scotland squad, not the case as Ross is very ordinary & must go down as one of the most overrated players to wear the white shirt of Leeds by our fans

That sums it up quite well actually, I think a change is 'imminent'
