I thought this would be a good thread for us all to contribute to, I must admit that I have nicked the idea from BBC Radio 2 show hosted by Mark Radcliffe and the format is to tell people about the first single you bought, last single and the single that means everything to you...

So to give it a LUFCTALK spin, tell us about your:

First ever football shirt you bought, last football shirt you bought and the football shirt that means everything to you......

Nice idea, Sheepy.

First ever footie top was the England Admiral top from 1975-76. Last top ever bought was a Denmark white and red away top (Hummel) back in 2007/08. It just looked good on me. I don't buy football tops anymore.

Everything... Top that means everything to me has to be from the 70s, and it HAS to be Newcastle's 1976 League Cup Final losing strip. the only kit I'll always love 100%.

Cheers Malcolm, here is my contribution :-)

My first shirt:

I bought this back in 1986, I think it was birthday money I had saved up and I remember trying it on (for size, not bartering the price) in the old club shop on Elland Road. People did not buy the shirts back then like they used to now, they seemed (to me) really expensive.

The last shirt I bought:

I'm not keen on the new away shirt but I really like the dark blue training shirt with gold crest and sponsor logos, looks much classier to me.

The shirt that means everything to me

It's not my favourite Leeds shirt ever, but this one means the most to me because it was our shirt when we returned to the old First Division back in 1990. It was shirt rarely off my back and I was proud to wear it. After a good few years slugging it out against the likes of Grimsby, Shrewsbury and Barnsley it was great to follow my club in the top flight. I still have this shirt and I still wear it.
