Expect Saiz will be definitely be one of them - other will probably be Alioski or Gonzalez.

Tweet doing the rounds that Saiz, Alioski and one more are booked into the De Vere Leeds from Monday. Someone having a bit of fun, or someone in reservations?

This is a cracking signing.

Just to add to SG90's list, he's versatile - midfield, RB and has played LB. Got 3 goals and loads of assists last season. Also is coming from a club that was under real pressure from a very large fan base and media for promotion and it obviously didn't impact on him. He should be able to manage Elland Road. Finally, he's the right age....... I bet there's more, just can't think of it now!

Did I mention that I thought this is an excellent signing!!

No doubt, this Anita is a great player - but why do we buy a right back? We have a great RB in Ayling and an almost as great sub in Berradi???
I don’t get it: We miss a left back, and buy a right back. We miss a CB and buy a midfielder?

My current go to for stats (www.whoscored.com) has Anita listed as 20th most effective player for Newcastle last season. 6.64 out of 10 average (https://www.whoscored.com/Teams/23/Show ... tle-United).
8th best defender...

Woah there, John - he plays as a defensive midfielder too.

Don't forget that at the moment Ayling may need to play in the middle and Berardi at left back, so I'm happy to sign a player who's great in two positions :)

Yes, you have a point, but why not just buy the players we need? Only two players are gone from last years team, Bartley and Taylor - and we have bought all kind of players (even a goalkeeper), but a LB and a CB.
You must admit, that it is a little bizar?

I have to say I am surprised by the type of players we are signing in terms of the positions they play - it is hard to spot the logic! Anita is a very decent player though who I'd expect to start - that is bad news for a player somewhere though, one we probably thought would be starting! Going to be an interesting start to the season while it all settles down! If ever there is a Championship midfielders league... we'll win it!

We're not done yet, I'm sure of that - I'd expect another four at least.

I still think Anita is a great signing and expect him to play in midfield more often than not.
Most people know I'm not Bridcutt's biggest fan, so I'm really pleased we've strengthened there.

I would hope we'd sign a dominant centre-half, a specialist left back, another striker and an attacking midfielder before we're done.
