Peter Lorimer
Is in hospital fighting cancer of the brain.
Hopefully they have caught it early enough and he makes a full recovery.

Re: Peter Lorimer
Do you know any more about this, mate? It was being said last night but I couldn't get anything official about it. Awful news. I know it is official now but I've still seen very little to confirm. We were talking about him the other week after seeing him at the POTY dinner thing, he seemed in fine fettle and it seemed he had just beaten Leukaemia but now this!SCOTTISH LEEDS wrote:Is in hospital fighting cancer of the brain.

I put this on a LU Facebook group, sums my feelings up quite well.
Apparently it is true that our legendary Peter Lorimer is suffering from brain cancer. Shocking news, he was doing well after I believe beating leukaemia, but now this. He was always my favourite Leeds player when I was young and I've kept that separate from disagreeing with him on LU matters in recent years. He is one of the main reasons why I am a Leeds supporter and I hope he whacks the stuffing out of bloody cancer like he used to whack the ball so many times. No apologies from me, folks, if this seems soppy, the man's a football god in my opinion and a LU world-beater.

Re: Peter Lorimer
The word legend is used way to easily these days but Peter is a Leeds United legend. Have met him many times over the last few years & although he comes over as a dour Scot he's actually far from it. Stay strong Lash my thoughts & prayers are with you.

Sometimes, it just spreads like wildfire and there's nothing anyone can do
Good luck, Peter - let's hope your good cells work at 90mph too, eh ?

Sad news indeed, one of my favorite players from our great side.
Hope he can beat this horrible disease.

Re: Peter Lorimer
He looked poorly a few seasons ago doing the pre-match speeches, but looked miles better last season.
All the best to him, a true legend of the club.
