Starting X1 v Bolton

Post by NottinghamWhite »

Just a bit of fun let's see who can the nearest. With all the new signings what do you think the team will be on the opening day ?

Nerve wracking... I couldn't even begin to guess a team. I'll leave it to the rest of ye. Likelihood is that there's gonna be a lot of guys who've never played together before, otherwise it's the same as last year, minus Bartley... Either way I'll be behind the couch, counting down the minutes, unless we come flying out of the blocks. MOT.

He won't want to get beaten in his first match, so I'd expect us to play one up top, pack the midfield and hit them on the break.
With Jansson out, three at the back seems highly unlikely so I'd expect a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 :

I much prefer your line-up, mate.

I'd rather we got shot of Bridcutt altogether ..

-----------------Wiedwald---------------

---Anita---Ayling---Cooper---Berardi

------------Vieria---Bridcutt------------

----------Alioski---Saiz---Roofe--------

------------------Wood-------------------

Bench: Green, Pennington, Sahko, Doukara, Phillips, O'Kane, Dallas

Didn't put Klich in as he's unlikely to be fit for this match. Didn't want to put Bridcutt in either but I've done it assuming he's named captain.

I don't know if Bridcutt will be captain.

Always difficult to tell with a new boss, isn't it ?

With Bridcutt as captain and Cooper vice captain I do think we need a change in that area. A part of me wants to put Jansson forward for it, but I worry for the number of cards we would pick up!

Yeah it is Rigz. I actually thought it would've been announced already. I do fear it'll be him though.
