That's the team I think TC will select next weekend following our pre-season adventures.
A bit harsh on Roofe but I think he'll go for Dallas for his defensive work down the right with Ayling surging forward regularly.
On the other flank it has to be Berardi because there's nobody else and Alioski looks like a certainty in front of him.
Saiz seems to have played himself into the reckoning since joining, though I could be wrong with Hernandez looking properly fit for the big kick-off.
The midfield is a nice balance with Klich and O'Kane - both are capable of all aspects of the position, unlike the more specialist holding/attacking players we have in the squad.

I'd still like a new DL and definitely a DC but I'm optimistic about the Bolton game and can't wait to see us in a competitive match. Always feels like an age when there's no tournament in the summer, doesn't it ?
Looks good on paper rigz. Klich won't start. He's had 20 mins of football. Alioski HAS to start on the right. I would like to see Saiz instead of Hernandez but we'll see. O'Kane and Vieira in the middle for me.

I'm convinced it will be the team that started today - apart from the keeper I've been convinced of other ten since first half v Borussia. Hernandez will start.

Not sure if this is what you want or what you think it will be... logic says ANita and Vieira WILL NOT start - otherwise they'd have had more time today. ANita for me is struggling to prove he's better than anything else we have while I 'm certain Phillips has the holding spot alongside O'Kane even though I probably wouldn't pick him. my gut feel is he's in there as the muscle.

Why is everyone forgetting Klich? I think he will be our best CM and links up between defence and attack, what we really lacked last season. Although O'Kane got forward a lot today.

I don't think people are forgetting Klich, he was injured in pre-season and has had little football. I think we may see him against Port Vale.

Agree with dlw, I think it will be what he started against Oxford, he seems to prefer Phillips, O`Kane and Hernandez as his midfield three at the moment although I think as others have said in a few games time this will change.

Can't for the life of me understand why we spent £3m on Sack O Pooh, somebody somewhere must have seen promise in him and think he'll come good in the future, for me,for now, he needs to be dropped into the under 23's and try and build up his game, others in that under 23's have got to be better,it is a complete waste of a shirt and like playing with 10 men,he is garbage.

Roofe and O Kane seem to be the outstanding performers pre season and will start.I'm in agreement with Viduka and think O Kane could shine this year with these attacking midfielders.

I think he'll start with Hernandez ,but it's a matter of time (minutes) before Saiz fills his role.
Good competition for places on the right and left, where Sacko Pooh is hopefully at the back of the queue,Dallas,Alioski,Roofe,Klitch pushing to start, personally i think he'll opt to start with Roofe and Alioski.

I really would like us to get £20-25m for Wood and dream of getting Negredo here,i feel Wood will be ordinary at best this season (hope i eat my words) but will start, eventually losing his place and hence dropping in value.

No place in the team for me with Bridcutt.

Seems TC is finding it hard to get Anita settled in and finding his correct position in the side,I feel he'll end up in centre midfield, but we may already have better options there i.e Viera Phillips and Anita could end up as defensive cover.

So where does that start us,i feel this will be the line up to start, with an excellent bench and options on it.As a side note,I think he's definitely seen something he likes in Shaughnessy and wants him on the bench asap.

...................The Cat......................
Ayling.....Pennington...Cooper.....Berardi
...............O Kane.....Klich.................
Roofe............Hernandez............Alioski
......................Wood.......................

Green,Anita,Shaughnessy,Dallas,Vieira,Phillips,Bridcutt,Saiz,Ekuban......Fantastic competition for places and hoping it brings the best out of most.

As many have already said, the competition for places is intense, particularly up front, and it's great to see.

After seeing Saiz live yesterday, he looks a proper player to me and it's impossible to leave him out. I doubt this is what we will see, but my team would be

Wiedwald
Ayling Cooper. Pennington Berardi
O'Kane Vieira
Alioski. Saiz. Roofe
Wood

Only had a quick look, but I don't think any of us got it correct.
