I popped out in the car on Saturday night and the usual national phone ins were ongoing.
Just as an aside.............anyone who thinks the press are not biased just needs to listen to Talksport for a week..........in a 2 hour slot they will talk about the 4 London teams, the 2 manc teams plus Liverpool. Everyone else can wither and die as far as they are concerned. It has always been the same, all of the guests support a London team and 80% of the callers are idiots who get sucked into calling because that is all that is discussed.
Anyway, rant over.
I usually don't bother listening usually but Stuart Pearce was being asked about the Championship and made a very good point. He said that a lot of championship players had the basics to play in the Prem but the main issue with them is inconsistency. He said that is was difficult to get 3 or 4 good games on the trot out of the players and that was the reason they were not playing at a higher level.
Sums up most players in this division and mirrors our season. Maybe that has more to do with performance than tiredness?
