Should Cooper be captain

Post by Deleted User 3150 »

I see Cooper has defended Ayling's stupidity.

Quote from twitter to a critic : 'You would have done the same in that situation'

Presumably that means HE would have done the same.

We know he is prone to stupidity himself and this comment suggests he thinks it's ok in general to react to provocation?

I would suggest that this shows he doesn't have the qualities of sense, discipline and restraint needed by the leader who should be leading by example!

I love the transformation with Coops this season. Yesterday Ayling was angry & Ayala cheated & thus a penalty was awarded. How the linesman missed Ayala bring Ayling down is shocking, I've looked at the replay a few times & it looked like Ayala was going to stamp on Luke's face. Both Friend & Ayala were lucky not to see red cards yesterday in my opinion, I hope the club reports the officials because they were shocking.

Dallas.

Should be in the team every week, never gives less than his all and he leads by example whenever I see him play.
Him or Berardi for exactly the same reasons.

Yes but none of that excuses Ayling's reaction which could have cost us points, or Cooper's refusal to say that he should have more self control

I think if someone attempted to stamp on my face I'd have reacted exactly the same if not worse.

If Berardi was captain we would probably have 10 yellows every week

Cooper maybe a nice bloke and yes he's improved significantly this season over last, but he is a League 1 defender at best, imho.

It's was the players that voted for Coops and if that is to be the Club policy then yes he should be captain. Obviously the rest of the squad must respect him.

All a bit worrying then if that's his attitude.

No wonder we are shipping penalties.
