No it didn’t, but the loss of Saiz for 6 games from the Newport sending off certainly did him no favours.Viduka Hits The Mark wrote: Losing at Newport certainly did him no favours:

When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.

Couldn't agree more BB. Quite afew fans (me included) were questioning why Saiz was even in the squad, let alone TC deciding to put him on the pitch. Discipline obviously started to become a real problem for the team which didn't help him.

We had this discussion numerous times in the Pavillion, why take Saiz in the first place, why put him on the pitch etc.
For me, TC did the right thing, in trying to win the game and keep us in the competition. It all went wrong, of course, but TC couldn’t legislate for what Saiz did. Discipline was non existent from then on, with numerous sendings off. TC lost it, for me, when he took Lassoga off in the Cardiff game when a comeback was in the offing.

TC - AVERAGE 1.457 POINTS PER GAME (PLAYED 35 GAMES
PH - AVERAGE 0.750 POINTS PER GAME (PLAYED 8 GAMES)

Re: What would you do if you were PH,
In the cold (yep !) light of day this morning, I wonder what's going through the minds of Heck, of AR, of the players and the rest of the staff at ER ?
I hope it's the same as the fans, namely that this season is categorically over.
Thankfully, we have enough points in the bag not to have to look down so what we absolutely must do is to lay the ground for next season, blood the promising youngsters, go back to basics tactically and salvage some pride from what has been a massively disappointing season given all the early season promise of a new start under a new manager working for a new regime at Leeds United.
As someone once said : ".. it's the hope that kills you".
