Nar. Not for me. They had a massive budget and he still didn't manage to get them promoted in the 2 seasons he was there. Even Swansea don't trust him in the Championship?Leonickroberts wrote:Welcome to the forum! It crossed my mind that Carvahal might be in the running to replace Heck (although it seems increasingly unlikely he'll leave now). Experience with getting a comparable club (fanbase, size, history, budget, location) into the play-offs.Tohellandback wrote:Carvahal leaving Swansea could this could change things regarding Bartley

Matthew Pennington signs new 3 year deal at Everton, obviously meaning he will not be a permanent signing for us. Judging by his goodbye/thanks for everything tweet, looks like that’s the last we will see of him in a Leeds shirt.

Nothing against Pennington but that is a relief for me.Barlow Boy wrote:Matthew Pennington signs new 3 year deal at Everton, obviously meaning he will not be a permanent signing for us. Poor CB. Lacks pace, concentration, positioning, strength & height.
Everton have made a mistake there.

Presumably Everton know what they are doing, but god knows how he has managed to get a 3 year (presumably lucrative), deal.rss1969 wrote:Nothing against Pennington but that is a relief for me.Barlow Boy wrote:Matthew Pennington signs new 3 year deal at Everton, obviously meaning he will not be a permanent signing for us. I'm glad Everton have signed him. Didn't think he was what we needed. Think we need better.

No doubt we need better but will we get it?Gilford_NI_Whites wrote:I'm glad Everton have signed him. Didn't think he was what we needed. Think we need better.

Probably not. I've a feeling we are going to try the super agent route.....on the cheap.

Maybe we'd have seen better from him if he'd had Ayling alongside.Barlow Boy wrote:Matthew Pennington signs new 3 year deal at Everton, obviously meaning he will not be a permanent signing for us. But he was nothing special, which makes it a bit odd why Everton would give him a three year contract...?
Might have to take an interest in the Premier League now....
