Putting myself in Bartley’s boots (and ignoring the fact I’m a leeds fan), I’m not sure I’d be rushing back. With Birmingham likely to survive the drop, surely he will be having a word with Monk first.

The cynic in me would say this is trying to deflect away from another defeat and the Myanmar tour, to get the fans back on their side. That said, if available he would opt for Birmingham over us.

I don't know why you both think he might pick Birmingham over us ??

He's already experienced a year at Leeds United. A (relatively) successful one too, definitely for him personally because it got his career back on track. He had a great partnership with Pontus, a good relationship with the fans (not that that means much) and played the best football of his career.
Add to that his old mate Luke Ayling being here too, I think we'd have a good chance of beating Brum to his signature.

Yes, Monk's there but they're no great shakes and have - arguably - more work to do than us and less chance of promotion too, I would say.

I would put it at least 60/40 in our favour as things stand.

It may all depend on the management situation, of course.

He said at the time he'd only come back for Monk, which I felt was a bit rude tbh given we'd spent a year singing his name and helping his career. I believe Birmingham have ffp issues too, so they may have a transfer ban. That said, KB has wasted a year sitting in the reserves at Swansea rather than trying to leave last summer and further his career.

Hopefully I’m not ruining anyones good mood, but I would gladly bring in Monk along with Bartley. And not just to secure Bartley’s signature!
