No brainer for me if its true - he'll be off, they have the money to pay him a bit/lot more to join them & they will be bigger favourites to get promoted than we will be.

He's been with us 2 years & we havent had a serious go at getting promotion in that time & unless there is a serious flurry of activity very soon I wouldnt blame him for leaving.

What about ambition? Were not showing much as of yet. Hasn't PJ always stated he his happy at Leeds providing the club show some ambition in the transfer market. Its still early days you could say regarding transfers, but in all honesty i expected to see more players arrive than Tom Baker. Who? Ask Dr Orta.
Yes, he has always stated that's he ambitious. He could, IMO, easily get a transfer to a PL side if that was the case. Joining another Championship side isn't ambitious in my eyes, even if they're one of the favourites to go up or not.
How about Bournemouth then. Would that be ambitious enough for you? ;) They are a big club now. The Baggies have had some great sides down the years and after 6 years in the PL (unless we spend some cash) will be far better placed for a immediate return than Leeds. Don't get me wrong, if Burnley come in for him i'm sure they would be his first choice.

At this time of the year we are at the bus stop waiting, looking at our watches, wondering and anxiously waiting for our ride to turn up and take us to the Promised Land. We are on a promise that it is on the way with all sorts of bells and whistles with improvements to the previous model's specification accompanied with a new driver.........

The excuse is that the Bus owner is out of town in some foreign land and has left the minions in charge with an instruction not to make a mess and not to couch anything. Oh and he's not left his credit card behind.

The rides to the Promised Land start in 3 weeks and all I can do is wait and hope as I ever do. Some might suggest that we need to be patient but all I know is that I am tired of all this. Maybe this time around?

Cracking post and well worded :)Sums it all up .
I'll second that.

Have we been lured into another season ticket grabbing ploy only to be told we have no real money in the account and that we must put up with loans in like we have for many years. The twenty million we were supposed to have for a transfer kitty must have all been given to Bielsa to get him out of Argentina and not for new players......

I think he has given two years service to the club and if the transfer market is stalling the way it has been for us this summer I'd be seriously questioning the club's ambition also. Honestly speaking, bringing in a world renowned coach should not be the last thing we do this summer. We have to back the coach up with some serious cash flow to allow this coach to work his magic in some players he will know. It never ceases to amaze me how low this club makes me feel and then the falsehoods of the highs. Its BS, how every other team in the championship can lock onto many players at ease and we struggle to get in one players of any decent quality except for a few loans. Is this a famous club or a paupers nightmare?

annoyed with the slowness of how Radz has got in Bielsa and there is nothing materializing since then.

Said it a few days back, we need to shift out a load of players before expecting a load to come in. That does include loans out too so it is not a completely dead duck of a transfer window.

Transfer market can be like musical chairs sometimes and yes i personally do believe the WC can affect a 'chain' of transfer activity.

And look at Villa - they have even confirmed that basically they're desperate to sell some of their big earners. Also, West Ham, spending loads, will need to recoup a wedge as well - we can't afford full wages if borrowing any of their players so negotiations are needed in depth with not only players/agents but the money men at each club. I wonder if Conte's eventual departure has had any bearing on interest in borrowing any more Chelsea players.

I don't like waiting either but to accuse the club of scamming us in to buying ST's based on false transfer promises I think is wide of the mark.

Have to agree with that ANS.

As frustrating as it is, we're not loaded like some of the other clubs in the league and we also seem to be a bit wiser after what we've been through.

We're obviously looking at bringing these top players in but we're trying not to break the bank. As ANS says, these negotiations take a while.

What seems a little baffling to me is that we seem to be concentrating on one deal at a time (possibly completely wrong on this). If Vydra was not happening, why haven't we got other players lined up?

I can sympathise with the last two posts but history is not on our side.
