So that’s 2 in and around 9 out, against a target of 4/5 in, 15 out.

Sounds like we are on target to me.

At the moment, we all seem to be split into two camps:
1) Fed up with the lack of quality (any) permanent signings.
2) Calm down, it will happen.

I must admit I am definitely part of group 1.
I believe AR is still living off his 2 positives, NOT being Cellino and buying back Elland Road, both of which are large positives, but will not afford him good will forever.
Bringing in Bielsa (Bub not catching on), looks like number 3, but nothing has happened to confirm this yet.
We keep hearing how difficult it is to sign players when the World Cup is still on (As far as I am concerned that ended on Wednesday night), but other teams are managing?
Please, please just one decent signing to re-build our hope.

I suppose another way of looking at it is that Aston Villa have publicly declared that some of their top players are for sale, yet no-one has taken them yet. I don't think there's been much activity overall.
Some here mentioned that the caliber of player we are after are not at the world cup, but those better players still need to make their transfers happen before the next level of player (our level?) will be released...

Very happy with the keeper.

I, like many...are not too enthused with the lack of activity, but I think we can admit that quality in is pretty damn good.

Both loan signings have great potential, but do you want potential in a loan signing, they need to impact sooner rather than later.
Plus I fear that these signings will hold back some of our promising young players, especially BPF, he isn't going to learn from Blackman, as he would from say Stockdale, but he could lose his place to him??

I wouldn't say they are potential signings, I think they'll both improve us, especially Blackman.

As much as BPF could come good, I'm not sure he's quite ready. We need an imposing figure in the sticks to settle the defence (the opposite to Felix) and BDF needs to grow into this role.

Either way, it's great to be going into the season with 2 quality options.

Telegraph Sport today says that Bartley is likely to sign for WBA. Fee 4m. Outside our price range.

We've never been in for Bartley according to reports, perhaps Bielsa doesn't fancy him.

4m obviously isnt too much if we bid 11/12m for Vydra.

In March 2018 Angus Kinnear said

“Our objective of building a team that competes in the play-offs has not changed. We always knew that it would take time to return Leeds United to where they should be and that the journey would start by building strong foundations. “Lessons have been learned and we are excited to see the benefits of a carefully planned transfer window and pre-season.” :shifty:

Dunno about an exciting Summer. This seems no different to the Summers since we Lived the Dream :(

Back to the here and now this is the business has been done, noting that there is just 3 weeks to kick-off and preseason training is already well under way:

• In the wind: Wiedwald, Gomes, Lonegran
• Temporary Assignments: Coyle, O’Connor, Denton, Cibicki, Grot, Wilks
• On the trapdoor (should be): De Bock, Anita, O’Kane, Ekuban, Sacko, Murphy, Antonsson
• Stay or go? Don’t Know: Klich, Ideguchi
• Incoming we have on loan: Baker
