‘Marcelo Bielsa, unconditional love’. I’d buy that t-shirt.

yes mbs done a great job, and would of settled for play offs at start of season
but at Christmas ,when the chance was there we didn't push on, and I said has much, then
quote we would fall into play offs, and that's where it would end, and I see nothing to change my mind,
first team in 10 seasons not to get promoted, lost 9/10 out of last 20, and I see mb walking away pretty soon
if recent management spells, are anything to go by.
lets hope not, and we find the early season form,if we have any players fit to play.
even brown might get a chance.

This is the conclusion I reach based on their explanation. The only person measuring intensity is the recipient. Only think to evaluate is the resistance of the player and I’m going to tell you something I shouldn’t.

This interpretation invites people to say ‘what is the conclusion you can reach?’ You should go to the ground with every punch, even if they just touch you and simulate the strength. The only way to get justice.

At the same time, they sanction those who simulate, they invite people to simulate. Am I wrong? (No).
Such an accurate observation - get badly tackled and try to carry on, the perpetrator isn't punished, get a slightest glance and go down poleaxed you will get the free kick other player carded, etc.

Thanks Nic, you've just clarified something for me. I was confused at the original punctuation. My only criticism of Bielsa is that his interpreter (or the reporter) isn't fluent in English (so not a criticism of Bielsa :) ).
"At the same time, they sanction those who simulate, they invite people to simulate." should read "At the same time they sanction those who simulate they invite people to simulate." I take sub-clauses too seriously in order to overcome borderline dyslexia. ;)

Efficiency has been an issue today, but was today about defending? How much of a concern?

At the end of the game you couldn’t think that this opponent could score three goals against us.

It was impossible that we couldn’t score three or four goals.

It’s not an analysis that I made before the game, it;s one I made after the game.

We conceded three goals, and this is something that is impossible to explain. We also only scored two goals, that is also difficult to justify.

How hard to pick up the players and regain momentum for Derby?

The performance in both games, there’s not a big difference.

Because if you out aside mistakes that were avoidable that we made in this game, apart from these mistakes, the performance of the team was good enough.

But in both boxes we had actions. In the opponents box we built offensive play that was difficult not to score and this problem was evident because the chances we had to score were even more than usual.

But what we are not used to seeing in our team is that out of four actions, they score three goals and we are also not used to the fact that the opponent in order to score goals gets the help from our team.

We have a strong defensive side in our team. We had two centre-backs that have been the best of the Championship, a very good number four in front of Kalvin Phillips, we have a number four who can be a number eight and an eight that can be a number ten.

So that’s why we had defensive structures linked to the recovery of the ball. If we analysed the defensive behaviour of the teams in the CHampionship we have to put the defensive efficiency as one of the strong points of the team.

The fact the we conceded three is linked to specific actions and we can’t draw conclusions from the team and these players because of these specific actions.

The reason why we havent’ been directly promoted is we missed many chances and one of the reasons that we finished finished third and not lower is the quality of our defence. And thanks to the collective effort. The negative new thing about this game usually we defend with strength but it was not the case today.

For me, I think that’s an exception but I have to admit it.

Concerned about going in to play-offs with a loss?

Of course losing the last game before the play-offs is not good.

But for a team who has the ambition to win the play-offs, we have the same ambition as they other teams who are going to play the playoffs. We can;t say that the ambition is linked to the taste you have in the last game.

Otherwise we would describe a team with few possibilities.

For the remaining three games, the character and personality are the most important things.

You don’t build the personality after a positive performance or lose it after a negative one.

Thoughts on Derby

I don;t think that the games we played against Derby are decisive and I wouldn’t be able to tell you new things about the team.

The team is defined by the profile of the players and players of Derby have important creative features.

Excited by play-offs?

Yes, of course because today’s performance is an accident and we ill forget it right now.

I don’t ignore what happened today but I know our team is not described by the game of today and the performance of today. I’m ashamed to say it what made the difference between today and the season’s average is that we contributed to the goals of the opponent in an exaggerated way. Against Wigan Alioski slided, fell and we had two headers in the box but today’s mistakes were more evident.

This is not the feature of our players. It’s an exception. I repeat, the basis of our team is the defensive structure.

If we hadn’t conceded the third goal, we would be less critical in the analysis of this game. Because today’s game was similiar to all the games we played. The opponent has 80% of efficiency, we have 20 %. This is the proportion of the game today.

What made the difference, and it’s not common, is our contribution to the goal they scored. And for me it’s an exception.

BIelsa asked if he will be spying on Derby again

You know that it’s a crime to spy. Do you know that? Do you know it was a crime?

When you have a level of ignorance and you work as a journalist and when you have a right to ask questions and when you lie in your answers and you don’t assume the irony and you keep telling what you ignore if spying is a crime or not you deserve a response ithout any conclusion. You make your question knowing that observing the opponent is now sanctioned, you know it perfectly and you ask.

You deny the fact that you know the answer and you know I received a sanction.

Is it a joke? If it was I don’t understand it. But it’s not because I don’t have a sense of humour.

You’re not funny.

That's all from Bielsa

Wow. He went to town with that last question.
