Actually laughed out very loudly watching that, seems a brilliant atmosphere around training. Good to see.SCOTTISH LEEDS wrote:Bamford scores a worldie over Huffer at training and Bielsa runs and hugs him:-

If only there was that much to time and space during a game. Great timing tho, reminded me when we used to play headers & Volleys as a kid, only we would be about 10yds from goal.Otherworld wrote:Very poor defending...!SCOTTISH LEEDS wrote:Bamford scores a worldie over Huffer at training and Bielsa runs and hugs him:-

Headers and volleys, great game when not enough kids to start a match. It was our 'warm up' until the rest of the kids were allowed out to playViduka Hits The Mark wrote: If only there was that much to time and space during a game. Used to call it '10 points' around our area too. Keeper or outfielders had to score 10 to win.... keeper rarely did it!

Re: Patrick Bamford out for 4 months
Ha, we had 'Points'! The keeper basically stayed in goal forever (well, first to 5 points) unless he caught the ball before it touched the ground. The outfield players had to score with volleys or headers only but if they missed the goal then it was a point to the keeper. Along with all the sneaky headers and Lorimer volleys from 8 yards the poor keeper had to endure much verbal abuse, it's where we probably all learned to sledgekk_white wrote:Headers and volleys, great game when not enough kids to start a match. Same as
Only addition we had is that the keeper scored with a save also. Basically any missed effort from the outfield players was a score for the keeper.... he still rarely won though
If the keeper won, whoever 'allowed' him the final point went in goal.
Just remembered this is the Bamford thread.... Do you think this is helping his rehab?

They've just shown the Bamford strike on the EFL programme & were waxing lyrical about the team spirit that Bielsa is installing
