A little bit of daylight now appears 4 points clear of 3rd place is looking good to me.

Next weekend is going to be interesting.
Sheffield United v WBA 3rd v 4th
Aston Villa v Stoke City 8th v 10th
Bolton Wanderers v Leeds United 23rd v 2nd
QPR v Middlesbrough 14th v 6th
Bristol City v Norwich City 13th v 1st
Derby County v Nottingham Forest 4th v 7th
On paper we have the easiest game.

Follow that with the 23rd match of the season (half way stage) when all will have played all the others once. A great time to judge credentials.ChilwellWhite wrote:Next weekend is going to be interesting.

Re: 18 games in
So it's Boro going through a bad spell at the moment & a 5 point gap opened between us & Sheffield United.NottinghamWhite wrote:Going by the above games I expect the clubs to get these points in December & including this weeks games
Leeds United - 17 - 9 so far
Boro - 15 - 2 so far
WBA - 15 - 5 so far
Norwich - 15 - 7 so far
Sheffield United - 13 - 5 so far
Forest - 12 - 4 so far
Derby - 10 - 6 so far
Villa - 9 - 5 so far
So the table should be.
Norwich - 51
Leeds - 50
Boro - 49
WBA - 46
Sheffield United - 44
Forest - 42
Derby - 41
Villa - 36
Which would see the top three the same as they are at the moment, only us in an automatic position.

Intresting stat on the EFL show in that for the last 10 seasons the side at the top of the league after 20 games have all been promoted. We missed out by a couple of minutes

Would like wins or even draws for the following today. Blackburn, Bristol City, Ipswich, QPR, Reading, Rotherham & Hull today. I'm just going to pray to the football gods now.

Re: 18 games in
After our game at Forest at New Year, if we are still in the top 2 we will have an exceptional chance. We will have played 7 of the current next 8 teams below us away from home. So arguably 7 of our 8 hardest games of the season will have been played.

No, very good, quite a few with the points as they are now. So, ... what about the top six at the end of the season?NottinghamWhite wrote:NottinghamWhite wrote: So the table should be.

Or maybe the 3/4 mark after 35 games, ten from Now.
My guess
Leeds - 69
WBA -67
Norwich - 67
Sheff Utd - 61
Derby - 60
Boro - 58
Do think it will be a three horse for the auto promotion spots.
