18 games in
We are sitting in 3rd place, I'm happy with that we also have the best goal difference in the league which is basically worth an extra point. Mid week game against a struggling Reading side ( anyone notice how near the drop the Wendy's are ) other mid-week games ...
Brentford v Sheffield United
Hull City v Norwich City
Preston North End v Middlesbrough
Aston Villa v Nottingham Forest
Swansea City v West Bromwich Albion
Stoke City v Derby County
How are you feeling about the season so far ?

All those matches are really intriguing 8) I just hope we keep going - you'd expect Reading to be poorer than Bristol C but the only predictable thing about this division is that it's unpredictable

I'm also happy enough given the players out. Next weekend we have a tough game against Sheffield United so a win against Reading is very important. The January window will be the deciding factor for me, we must bring in another central defender.

Re: 18 games in
The last bit of your post is definitely true, hope no ones wasting their money on fixed odds. I'd like to see Sheffield United draw, Norwich to win, Boro to draw, Forest to lose, West Brom & Derby to draw. So only 3 points on Tuesday is acceptable imho.Another Northern Soul wrote:All those matches are really intriguing 8) I just hope we keep going - you'd expect Reading to be poorer than Bristol C but the only predictable thing about this division is that it's unpredictable

Re: 18 games in
Going by the above games I expect the clubs to get these points in December & including this weeks games
Leeds United - 17
Boro - 15
WBA - 15
Norwich - 15
Sheffield United - 13
Forest - 12
Derby - 10
Villa - 9
So the table should be.
Norwich - 51
Leeds - 50
Boro - 49
WBA - 46
Sheffield United - 44
Forest - 42
Derby - 41
Villa - 36
Which would see the top three the same as they are at the moment, only us in an automatic position.

3 wins on the trot so it reads P3 W3 F4 A0 with QPR at home and Bolton away think there's another six points on offer there. Let's keep the clean sheets coming as well please.

Re: 18 games in
Great start to December. Currently a four point gap to third place team although that may change after WBA play. Bielsa not getting carried away so neither should we.
Concerned regarding number of injuries in defensive set up. Delighted for Halme but we need to consider cover across back four and a GK.
Also only three points away from safety from relegation.

Two dangerous form teams for me are West Brom & Villa and see they play each other next weekend (Friday) so won't both be getting 3 points.

West Brom lost to Hull last week hardly a form team. They do have a relatively easy game tomorrow against a free falling Brentford side which should put them 2 points below us. A draw Friday would suit us especially if we can beat QPR on Saturday giving us a 4 point cushion. It's anything but boring this league.
