Spygate
Re: Spygate
Shankly's home overlooked Everton's training ground, yet nothing was said about that. There's a lot of uncomfortable xenophobia about it all, especially from the dribbling brexit types in the press. If it had been those bastions of integrity Old 'Arry or Big Sam, it would be laughed at and called "cheeky banter".

We didn't need a spy to know that Derby are poo.Selby White wrote:The funny part of it all for me is the fact the spy got caught so MB didn't get his inside information and we still totally outclassed them.
I wonder if Stoke have an "unfair advantage" getting to watch us on TV.

Arry or Sam would have just bunged one of Derby's staff for info..............it would still be laughed off by the fleet street sub-humans.SG90 wrote:Shankly's home overlooked Everton's training ground, yet nothing was said about that. Re: Spygate
There is only one piece of info that would have interested Bielsa & that was to find out if Wilson was fit to play - Still sounds pretty silly to me.

Good piece
Had to laugh, saw a clip of Football Focus where Keown went over the top & was disgusted at what happened....uncorinthian I think he actually said!!!! (made himself look ridiculous the idiot) whereas Upson sat next to him thought it was a complete non story.

Re: Spygate
I was surprised yesterday with how many ex professional footballers, and managers Old and New have come out in support of Bielsa, all saying....some even explaining circumstances...what he has done is actually rife in the game. Yes, even in ‘squeaky clean England

From today's SportBlog by Danny Taylor in The Guardian -
Lampard could look at Chelsea when it comes to spying
Frank Lampard was clearly very upset, with some justification, about the discovery of a Leeds employee hiding in the bushes to spy on Derby’s training before the teams played each other at Elland Road on Friday. But don’t think it is only Marcelo Bielsa, the Leeds manager, who would pull such a stunt.
In an interview with the Daily Telegraph in 2011, André Villas-Boas said he would regularly visit opposition training grounds, “often incognito,” for spying missions as part of José Mourinho’s backroom staff at Chelsea.
A 3-0 win against Newcastle in November 2005 was referenced, when Villas‑Boas provided Chelsea with a dossier containing 24 tactical graphics. Lampard is entitled to be upset with Bielsa – but maybe he should consider who was wearing the No 8 shirt in Chelsea’s midfield that day.

Dave Kitson saying that one team built a tunnel by the away changing rooms so someone could listen in on the opposition team talks.
