Leeds United are delighted to announce a new partnership with the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League (NFL).
The exciting arrangement will see the American Football pioneers send a delegation to Leeds to meet with senior management staff to discuss key areas of the club’s business, including ticketing strategies, sponsorship and commercial opportunities, technology, and retail and merchandising.

I like the clubs thinking, partnering up with a club that have vast experience of marketing and managing a global brand. It can only be a good thing really.

Can't say I am a fan of American Football, I've always thought of it as a sport for the weak bodied and simple minded - especially when compared with Rugby League. ;)

Might explain the gold in the away kit ... just so long as we don't also adopt the red :o

I was just glad they chose the 49ers! When we went to the States last year we went to a game in SF v the Detroit Lions and we have all been 49ers fans since! I am all for bringing the 49ers cheerleaders over for a game soon......... :o

Never really followed gridiron, only for maybe one season 25 years ago. I liked the Bengals kit and their QB Boomer Esiason was immense !
He was the MVP around that time but he suffered an absolutely horrific leg break - I think they showed it once on the replay before agreeing nobody wanted to see it again (the bottom part of his leg, from about the shin down, actually snapped forwards and it was like something from a gory horror film).
When he was out for a year I kinda lost interest ...
