SEASON TICKETS 19-20

Post by SCOTTISH LEEDS »

Prices are unchanged according to the OS:-

Club announce Season Tickets for 2019/20 will be frozen.

Leeds United are delighted to announce a Season Ticket price freeze for the 2019/20 campaign – which will be the eighth year in a row the club has done so.

Regardless of the division Marcelo Bielsa’s team compete in during our centenary year, General Admission Season Ticket Holders will pay the same price they paid during the 2018/19 season.*

The club is also pleased to inform supporters that a new price category has been introduced for those aged 16-18 following consultation with fan groups in an effort to make football at Elland Road even more affordable.

As part of the centenary celebrations all Season Ticket Holders for 2019/20 will receive a special complimentary gift pack ahead of the start of the season.

The renewal process will begin from Tuesday 19 February when current Season Ticket Holders will be able to purchase their seat for next year online, paper forms will then be sent to those who do not purchase online within three weeks.

The renewal window will close on Friday 29 March and there are currently no plans to go out on general sale.

The club will once again offer a finance option allowing fans to spread the cost of their ticket across a six month period.

Chief Executive Angus Kinnear said: “Following fan consultation we are really pleased to announce a price freeze for another season, our fans have shown unwavering support again this year with Elland Road boasting the highest average attendance in the Football League and we feel it is only right that we take this opportunity to reward their loyalty.

“We currently have in excess of 22,500 Season Ticket Holders and our aim will be to retain as many of these as possible which would mean, should we be promoted, we will not be selling any additional Season Tickets to supporters – which is a huge step forward for Leeds United.”

Hospitality Members will also have the opportunity to renew from next week; they will receive an email from the Leeds United Commercial Department with details of next year’s pricing structure and the renewal process.

*Season Ticket renewal prices are subject to terms and conditions and individual circumstances. Mini Season Ticket Holders will pay the 2018/19 new applicant price.

No additional season tickets to be sold, should we be promoted. It’ll be utter chaos trying to get tickets.

You’re quiet correct Al, my apologies.

Surely its utter chaos now - for the popular matches they are getting sold out before general sale. In the PL it will be the same, especially for top half table clashes.

True, it's a very bold move - limiting season tickets so that non-ST stand a chance to get to matches. I suppose the fact they can use it to push memberships won't harm either. It is also a good move they are freezing s.ticket prices again, so easy for a club to use it to push the prices up, so well done.

It’s an appreciation to the fans who were there through the dark times, when there were just three or four hundred in the Pavilion before the games, when the South Stand wasn’t even open and we were mocked by opposition fans.

Fair play to the club, they got this spot on

Surely the prices have only been frozen in the post Bates era? I had to give up my ST in 2015 due to house buying and work making it increasingly difficult to have match days off, including objecting to me using holidays bookings to attend! Then when I changed jobs to a more match friendly one and got one in 2017 there seemed, as a new applicant, a big increase in the price. Still its nice that the freeze has still been going on, and is continuing again. Mind you there has been quite a few gripes over this announcement (like the woman who didn't renew this year as having a baby and wanted to come back), but it does seem fair to ensure there are tickets available to purchase each match.

From the OS:-

Record numbers for first week of Season Ticket sales.

Over 6,000 Leeds United Season Ticket Holders have renewed their seat for the 2019/20 campaign just over a week after going on sale.

The figure represents the largest opening week of sales on record with just over 1,000 supporters renewing during the same period this time last year – with the club going on to sell 22,500 Season Tickets for the current season.

A price freeze on all Season Tickets for the 2019/20 season was recently announced by the club for an eighth consecutive year with a new price category also introduced as a way of thanking fans for their continued support and loyalty.

The new category is for supporters aged 16-18 following a consultation process with fan groups in an effort to make football at Elland Road even more affordable for fans.

Season Ticket Holders are able to renew now by purchasing their seat for next year online here.

The renewal window will close on Friday 29 March and there are currently no plans for Season Tickets to go out on general sale. Paper forms will be sent to current Season Ticket Holders that do not purchase online within the next few weeks.

The club are once again offering a finance option allowing fans to spread the cost of their ticket across a six month period.
