Found this on a Subby forum.
The kit has been printed on to decals, like you'd get in a model kit, then placed on "blanks" and put into yellow bases with custom team rings under a clear top plate.
Looks good but I prefer old school painted players and I also really don't like those flat bases. I play classic Subby, not the newer "shove ha'penny" style ..
(I also would've painted the hair the correct colours too )
Lucky bugger. My teams were 'anyone who wears red' and the same in blue...
Loved it tho, especially the poster of all available teams, even if we couldn't afford them (had to order from the UK as shops in Ireland didn't really stock much. Maybe Dublin, but we were miles from there)

I bet you had teams over there that we couldn't get here.
I remember going to Italy when I was 11 and seeing their teams plus exotic European clubs like Anderlecht and PSV that you'd never see in an English toy shop.
I love your enthusiasm Rigger, but Kilkenny in the 80's was a pretty basic place.
Beautiful medieval city which I'm immensely proud of, but the 80's were bloody plain at best
