Sheffield United Millwall (H), Notts Forest (H), Hull City (A), Ipswich (H) and finish with Stoke (A).
Norwich Wigan (A), Sheff Wed (H), Stoke (A), Blackburn (H) and finish with Aston Villa (A)
Leeds Sheff Wed (H), Wigan (H), Brentford (A), Aston Villa (H) and Ipswich (A)
Norwich with a 6 point lead should win the Championship but who will be 2nd?
Can we win our final 5 games to go up in 2nd?

Against those teams remaining Blunts got 8 points earlier in the season.
We got 11 from our remaining opponents.

Only thing certain is that us and blades will likely drop points between now and the end of the season.

Yes 15 points is possible... unlikely, but possible. If it happened I think we would go up as champions.

15 is possible, but to go upas champions Norwich would have to lose more than 2 of the final games. If they won 3 and lost 2, they have a +8 GD at present so we would need some spectacular scorelines to overcome that.
For the next 2 games I think Norwich and ourselves will get 6pts with Sheff U possibly slipping up against Forrest. That would mean going into Easter with clear points from the play-off.

Unfortunately it's looking like Forest's season is finished, not sure how much fight they have left in them.Nic wrote:...For the next 2 games I think Norwich and ourselves will get 6pts with Sheff U possibly slipping up against Forrest. That would mean going into Easter with clear points from the play-off.
Good to see Villa win again last night. Hopefully they have the playoffs wrapped up before they visit ER.

Agree with kk, want Villa to win their next few games and guarantee a play-off place, then rest/protect their key players. Can't risk the likes of Grealish getting injured/suspended.
Re: Last 5 games
Brentford away is the one that concerns me most. We just never seem to play well in that fixture.

Re: Last 5 games
Not looking past Saturday. Wed will be on a high after Tuesday night's win, and Millwall are fighting to avoid relegation.
Had thought that Sheff Utd had the harder run in but Forest dont seem to be up for the fight so Hull is the major hope to take points of them.
Villa have three hard games left so they will not be taking it easy against us as they have Norwich in the following match and they wont want to go into play offs with two losses back to back.
Each match as it comes and would have bitten your hand off at start of season if you had said we would have been in 2nd with 5 matches left.
