My heart wants Bielsa to be with us come August after the club have given him enough funds to get around five or six players who he has identified and captured that will improve the squad considerably.

My head says that he will walk away due to the financial restraints we have at the club. Radz is our best owner of the club for years but he too has a financial end zone.... also we as a club have an end zone with what types of prices we can pay for players Bielsa will be seeking to bring in and not what the fans want. They can be two different things. As a fan i would love to see Ronaldo, Messi, and players of that quality but the reality is that we won't be able to capture anything of the sort unless we can get in some Kuwaiti or Bahraini oil money.

Personally I do believe that he wants to stay but is seeking the backing to get it done for us the fans. This man is a genius to get the club to its high position this year and if we can back him up I believe that we will be sitting here next season praising his achievement in getting us promoted.

Over to you Radz and your skills set of acquiring some decent players to make this team a force to be reckoned with.

I simply can't call, will he stay or will he go.

There are so many factors that come in to play. I think he will stay if he feels as though this in unfinished business at Leeds - he knows he has to work within the constraints of what the football club (Radz) can afford - he came on this basis.

It seems he was attracted by the romantic notion of returning a great but failing club back into the big time. He thought his methods could do this and probably his own ego made him want to take on English football and prove himself right. He very nearly acheived it.

Only a small circle of people will now know what he thinks and who/what he blames for failing and what he has learned from the experience. If he thinks his team, using the methods they use, can acheive it within the budget he has to work in and the passion is still alive then he might stay. I'm sure he's normal enough to want to be proven 'right'.

On the otherhand if he has doubts, then he might not fancy spending another year in England. I don't think he loves Leeds or English football - his heart remains in Argentina it seems to me. He's a 63 year old man, with a bad back, whose family is back in Argentina (I've assumed his wife is not in England but maybe she is).

I think he will only 'walk out' if the club breaks its promises they made to him or try to force him to change course. It seems last year they did all they could to give him what he needed and he always seemed happy.

Given the way he wants to play the game, imo, he needs players who truly are a cut above the championship standard. The results since Xmas prove this. You can't ship goals at the back if you then can't take teams apart at the other end.

It'll be his call on how he thinks he can turn around the results we've had - do we need better players, do we adapt a more defensive style or is it a combination of the two. I'm sure that conversation with his coaching team, with Radz and Orta is what is probably being finalised right now.

I'm sure if he leaves then it will be by mutual agreement and there will be no hard feelings. I'm pretty sure that Radz will want him to stay if at all possible. If he goes however, God knows who we would then get to replace him - all ifs and buts again.

Still hopeful that club can secure the necessary player funds, but...

... if MB leaves, I don't think he walks due to club not fulfilling promises. More likely that he leaves a lot earlier because club have confirmed that they cannot financially meet his expectations/hopes. At worst, it will be an amicable parting of ways.

I believe both parties have too much admiration and respect for each other.

My understanding from people in Argentina is that Bielsa is minded to stay put give it another go at Leeds next season. But as ever, you’d be loath to second guess him.

I suppose much of it depends on the stuff already said - can the club afford to bring in the quality of players ( a couple of defenders and couple of strikers at least I reckon ) needed to sustain the level needed to secure promotion AND are there enough players already at the club who have the capacity to be developed to the required level. If the answer to both those question is YES then all is well, innit? Then there's no obvious reason for MB to go.

If the answer to the first is NO then maybe it's not the end of the world as there are other ways of strengthening the squad apart from buying new players aren't there?

Firstly, there are plenty of Premiership level players knocking around the Prem who aren't getting regular first-team football. Could they be tempted into loan spells? If so, then there's no initial outlay, just the payment of wages; is this more than the club could afford ... maybe, maybe not.

If that quality of player can be brought in on loan, in my simple little world they would also be available to help those players worth developing. Again, no obvious reason for MB to go.

Naive?

Maybe, but we can hope!

As far as loans go, given Bielsa's style of football, we must be an attractive destination for a lot of fringe players at higher levels clubs here and in Spain. Perhaps a couple of Argies coming over too. Bound to be a decent number 10 who can give Pablo time to rest.

That should be the target, not mediocre Chelsea rejects. Players like Franchu, Cesar Gelabert, Abel Ruiz, Riqui Puig would be perfect.

It is hard to say, because on one hand Radz holds a tight ship and wants to balance the books but on the other the documentary with Orta about getting Bielsa might mean they have a similar conversation soon about players.
