Player (that we knew wouldn't surprise some of us)

So lets assume we all agree that Kalvin Phillips was the surprise standout player of last season. Who do you think could grab their chance this season. You may change your vote.

I've ignored Clarke and Shackleton because now see them as first team squad players based on last season.

So asked myself who I think is favourite to break into the squad and gone for Pascal Sturijk, predicting big things from him.

Also like Jordan Stephens and Robbie Gotts (not on the list).

Given our policy that I like of acquiring lots of top young talent I'm expecting a average of two or more to come through each season and establish themselves such as Clarke & Shackleton did last term. Great for the future if I'm correct.

Edmondson for me.
The only surprise so far is that he hasn't featured more - he looked a beast every time I watched him last season.

My instant reaction was Jamie Shackleton, but going by SW thoughts that he is already there, I’d go with Ryan Edmondson.

As others have said, I instantly thought of Shackleton, very impressed by him. Great engine, neat and tidy, has a bit of pace about him and is versatile. Him aside, really like the look of Robbie Gotts, similar to Shacks, imo. So many good youngsters at the club atm.

I wish Bogusz and Wilks were on the list, but of those above I'll go for Edmondson. (Shackleton is too obvious)

I would 2nd Mat Bogusz - he is a very physically strong player for his age which possibly puts him ahead of the other young lads.

Robbie Gotts is a great player and the other one not on the list is Alfie McCalmont who is the 2nd coming of Billy Bremner ! - McCalmont and Robbie Gotts are going to be star players for Leeds in due course but perhaps this season is a bit soon for them.

If Phillips is sold, tbh I think we have some great players coming through and I wouldn't be overly concerned, although it would be preferable to keep Phillips. I think all the three players will be better than Phillips in due course although the two English players are quite small and wouldn't be suitable for dropping into a centre back position like Phillips has done.

New additions added.

edit: and just discovered that adding new names resets the vote.... :( So as far as names go as someone once said "That's all folks"

Went for Mateusz Bogusz if he gets a chance but it will be someone like Halme.
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.
