Re: Nominations for right back
We could just accept that the Revie boys were the Creme de la Creme? As one of the older brigade I really will struggle to see past Harvey, Reaney, Cooper, Bremner, Charlton, Hunter, Lorimer, Clarke, Jones, Giles, E Gray and the one and only Madeley. So in effect what we are looking at would be an equal second team. The odd exceptional player Yeboah would have to be found a place........NottinghamWhite wrote:Think we might miss a few Revie Boys otherwise the team will be too predictablejohnh wrote:Not much point in this. Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

What's the average age of the people voting?NottinghamWhite wrote:Think we might miss a few Revie Boys otherwise the team will be too predictablejohnh wrote:Not much point in this. Paul Reaney - end of.NottinghamWhite wrote:I’ll let the forum decide who they want in Fridays poll.
No disrespect to any players from the Revie era but i never saw them play, so i feel it'd be wrong to vote for any of them.
Gary Kelly would be my vote and Luke Ayling deserves a mention imo.

Nothing wrong with voting on what you have seen.lufctrav wrote:

However we have a good few on here that did see Dons great team, myself included although young at time was fortunate to have parents that were season ticket holders.
We do have a cross section of ages on the forum and a good few of us experienced types

Paul Reaney but as some have mentioned Gary Kelly deserves a mention.

Neil Aspin.
Loved Zico big Mel Sterland, you just know players like him Jan Molby, Razor Ruddock even if they did have 6 pints before a big game they would still bully the opposition.
Gazza Kelly one club man. Ryan Giggs who?
Danny Mills born in Norwich he knows he's Leeds!

Re: Nominations for right back
25 years ago, took my 10 year old son to a holiday camp darn south.
On the entertainment guide, there was free football training, so I signed him up to that.....imagine my surprise when I discovered it was being run by Paul Reaney!
My son was already a keen Leeds fan (still is) but I still had to explain to him that Paul was an awesome player from my first Leeds team.
As an alternative to Paul, would have to say Danny Mills, whenever our opponents hit the ball over to the their left wing, would get worried until realised Danny was on to it, the ball rarely got crossed while he was in the team.
