Heroes & Villains

Post by Selby White »

Now is the chance to name "Heroes & Villains" of Leeds United.

Simple Rules -
You name one hero and one villain from your time watching the Club (players, coaches, officials, etc).
You describe why in 5 words.
Let at least 5 other members post before you do a 2nd one (and so on)
Try pick different to others.

Edit - Think we can do away with the 5 word rule, a few good reads and reasons

I'll start and take the obvious :-

Hero - Don Revie - Made us a great club

Villain - Peter Ridsdale - Stupidity could have destroyed us.

Hero - Arthur Graham - most cheerful player signing autographs

Villain - the player who injured Michael Bridges that he never seemed to recover from (think it was the Besiktas away game) - Bridges was brilliant when he joined but seemed to fade away after the injury (I'm using pre-decimal counting so am able to use more than 5 words)

Lucas - a genuinely lovely man and a proper hero for everything he survived just to get to Europe.

Kewell - greedy tosspot who came through our academy system as one of the very best talents to ever wear the shirt, yet he wiped his arse with it and threw it on the floor with the way he left.
