Primarily for the U23s though, so would probably result in Edmondson leaving permanently or on loan.

I think we are up for a pretty quiet summer, not many players will arrive, but surely 4-5 additions (+ Harrison and Meslier) to the first team. With Berardi out for 9 months it means 2 CBs MINIMUM. Then one LB, one midfielder and probably an attacker.

I’m pretty sure Bielsa wants to continue with most of his players, and I won’t be surprised if Bamford starts as our main man up front also in Premier League.

GK: Meslier - Kiko (or replacement)
RB: Ayling + Dallas
CB: Cooper + White(or replacement) + NEW + some kid + Berardi
LB: Douglas(or replacement) + Dallas
CDM: Phillips + Struijk
CM: Klich + Foreshaw + Schakleton + Gotts
CAM: Pablo + Roberts/NEW
RW: Costa + Poveda
LW: Harrison + Alioski
ST: Bamford + Roberts/NEW

That would be 25 players. Then add kids like Stevens, Bogusz, Davies etc.

Unless it's a replacement for Ben White, i doubt we'll see another CB come in. Bielsa will use players already at the club if he needs to.

Is there anything official about Bielsa not wanting JKA? The last i knew of was that his hamstring injury had ruled him out of the remainder of the season and there was no point keeping him around considering the restrictions in place around training at the time.

Such a shame for Berardi. I knew it was serious as soon as he was down. He's a real warrior and would have done anything to stay on the pitch. Definitely agree that the club should look after him. He stayed on the extra months for his love of this club and has now paid a price for that.

I mentioned Buendia in the old thread and I know others have too since then. A thought came to me today, he is Argentinian right? We have Bielsa who is a legend in Argentina, they love him. Surely that would be enough to bring him here. IMO he is the ideal lad to replace Pablo.

With Berardi out we absolutely need White+1. No way will we go into a premier league season with just 2 CB, no way

I believe Bielsa will make do with Struijk, Casey, Phillips and Ayling as options at CB should they be required. A starting CB will come in and that's it imo.

Biesla is very loyal to his players, i can see at the most 5 and that includes Harrison and Meslier coming in. A CD, Midfielder and a forward. Anything more and I will be hugely surprised by it. He believes in the ones he already has, now to add the icing to the cake.
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

Latin American rag has linked us to a 20m bid for Argentine Thiago Almada overnight on Twitter.

Man Utd, Man City, AC Milan and Arsenal have been interested recently as well.

Let me throw up a suggestion.

Johannes Geis from Nurenburg.

Can play in any position from central midfield to center half.

Plays best as the holding midfielder or in the center midfield

Has Champions League and La Liga experience at Sevilla and Bundesliga experience at Schalke.

Been stuck in 2.Bundesliga with Koln and Nurnberg the last 18 months.

Statistically in the top 3 players of 2.Bundesliga last campaign. Nurenburg look like being relegated to 3.Liga.

Was known as a free kick and corner specialist at Sevilla and Schalke as well.

26 years of age and a current market value on Transfermkt of €1.60m with his side about to be relegated.

Played a mixture of CM and CDM and churnned out 5 goals and 10 assists in a crap side.

Funnily enough we are apparently looking at Patrick Erras as a FA also from Nurenburg, whom was a bit part player for them this year, playing behind Geis at times and coming off the bench for him. Statistically nowhere near him with 2 goals and 0 assists. So we aren't adverse to looking at 2.Bundesliga.
