Unless we need money and unless Phillips pushes for a move, then just reject whatever bid is made.

I recall after promotion someone saying KP was ready to leave for a PL club and VO convinced him to stay. He said he couldnt forgive himself if he'd see us promoting with him elsewhere.
I believe as long as we are in PL and things in the club are functioning well he will not leave in the next 3-4 years regardless of position.
He loves leeds and there is not much to moan about at the moment
Lazy journalism by the Sunday Mirror (Scum Times) trying to rock the Leeds boat as always, Kalvin is a good player so obvious clubs would love to have him but he is ours and is here for the duration.

Agreed. Unless we're in freefall for the remainder of the season and ended up being relegated, or narrowly escape, then I can't see us needing to sell off any players or have wantaways. I think we're going to find most of our team linked to major teams throughout the season and we should probably enjoy the flattery.

If we do manage to consolidate our standing in The Premiership, then I do agree that, financially, we would hope to be able to retain our squad.

However, I do think that Rigger has a point, in that some players, especially those within the Championship winning group, and who may well have more lucrative new contracts, may be looking at what others elsewhere are being paid.

I can see us having to budget for a substantial increase in the wage bill, to guarantee the likes of Kalvin remaining at Elland Road.

We really should have got a midfielder in the summer it was the only thing we failed to address.

We have options, Struijk or Dallas perhaps? Can Llorente play CDM? I know he's currently injured but I think he'll return in a couple of weeks

I'm sure I saw something in the last couple of days that Bielsa was looking to use Llorente there. Apparently he's played as a defensive midfielder before but prefers CB.

Phil Hay suggesting Klich will drop back to DM.

The only slight consolation with this news, and it is slight, is that it’s come early in the week so at least Bielsa can work on a solution ahead of Friday.
