Premier League Expectations

I know that, objectively speaking, for a team that has just been promoted after so much time in the Championship, just staying on the Premiership would be good enough. But it's hard not to get hopes up with Bielsa and this squad.

For me, finishing in EL places would be beyond awesome, but it may be dreaming too much. Cherry of the cake would be beating MU in Old Trafford. Wouldn't be a first time for Bielsa winning in Old Trafford with an underdog side.

I see us mirroring Wolves. I’d be delighted with a top ten finish which I believe we are more than capable of. Next few weeks in the transfer market will be interesting. I think Casilla will go but & it’s looking like we need a replacement for White, Sturjik is capable ?

10-15th. Comfortably clear of any relegation scrap.

As with all promoted clubs the main objective is to avoid relegation, but I would love to see us emulate Wolves and Sheffield United.

Good to see that relegation is not an option in the poll :D

The first time up is really hard - normally I would say expect to get relegated and then go straight back up is the best bet. Bielsa though is a big difference maker and Leeds could surprise a lot of teams next season as have Sheffield United this year. The pool of available players will be a lot bigger and transfer fees and salaries will be lower due to the virus, which can only help a newly promoted side. Leeds has to be the one of the most attractive sides going up for a while which will help attracting quality players, with the best teacher (Bielsa) around and won't be viewed as relegation fodder. I expect Leeds to finish above the other two promoted sides, so just need to also finish above one of the likes of Villa & Brighton as a minimum. I thought Augustin would end up being our "number 9" next year, but it was not to be. Yes, we need to hopefully keep Ben White, but a 15+ centre forward is a must in order to keep out of the relegation race. The seventies was a great time to be a Leeds fan, hopefully Bielsa stays for at least a couple of more years in order to enable us to get properly re-established in the top half of the table, which is where we belong. Have watched a lot of Prem games since the restart and with our current squad (assuming we get BW back or similar) I would say we are competing with teams 11 to 15.

For the record I tend to split it into groups of 5 teams and from what I've seen would group teams as follows (not in any order within the 5) -
1st to 5th - Man City, Liverpool, Man Utd, Spurs & Chelsea.
6th to 10th - Leicester, Arsenal, Southampton, Everton & Wolves.
11th to 15th - Leeds, Sheff Utd, Burnley, Palace & Newcastle.
16th to 20th - West Brom, play off winner, West Ham, Villa (or Watford) & Brighton.

4 good signings and we could Definately be in the batch higher, whatever though we will surprise a few.
