Considering he finished 9th in our Player of the Season award that’s a heck of a result.
I'm absolutely delighted for him. As I said weeks ago that Ayling was the most improved player of the season although maybe not the best as we had a few who were consistently better than Bill, but He got more forward this season and influenced a lot of games where we could have lost our heads. Some really influential goals too. It's fitting he was awarded something for his leadership and his obvious attachment to this Leeds team. You could tell how much it meant to him and the squad when he scored his goals, That kind of passion was what we needed rather than just a run to the corner doing a raising of one arm. I think with Bill is what you see is what you get. Loved watching him play this season.
