According to Krasner Alan Smith did want to join Scum.

The masochist in me enjoyed that. Still find it hard to believe that Ridsdale still takes no responsibility for what happened at the club. Hopefully part 2 will be an easier watch.

Re: The rise & fall of Leeds United
I liked O'Leary, still do to be honest but believe he blew it here.
Rated him as a very good Manager/coach but once he got established he stopped spending his time working with the players on the training ground and spent most of his time in the office and boardroom. Basically swapped the tracksuit for the suit & tie.
He trusted training to others but when the cats away the mice do play is the saying.
With the players at our disposal we should not have dropped out of the top four and then history would be so different. If O'Leary had continued to do the parts of the job he was good at instead of joining the martini mob we would have been ok IMHO.
Saying that the real blame certainly does lie with Publicity Pete.

I'll never forgive him for joining Scum, I remember his interview saying he'd go to a European club because it would be easier to come back to Leeds then a few weeks later join themNottinghamWhite wrote:According to Krasner Alan Smith did want to join Scum.

Krasner hasn’t done Smith any favours has he. It was always thought that he hadn’t much choice in joining Scum but he seemed very happy to drop this fact into his interview.DominanceUK wrote:
