PPV

I see that they are showing Premiership games on a pay per view basis at a cost of £14:95 a game. Basically what they might as well do is hold a football fan up by his legs until every last penny has come out of their pockets. What’s people’s opinion on this new venture ?

It's overpriced, simple as. If it was a fiver I doubt many would moan given it's only the matches not already being broadcast.

IMHO it'll drive even more people to streaming in the short term. In the longer view, they'll lose a generation forever as the young won't want to pay for football unless it's live as they've already proven with music and even cinema to a lesser extent.

I can’t see many paying to watch Burnley v Fulham I really can’t. It’s just greed another COVID-19 scam. I shall not be spending with them that’s for sure.

Last season I gladly paid LUTV a 5’er to watch our games, but if it would cost me £15, I would instead pay 0,99 and listen to the game via LUTV. In fact, I like listening to games now and then and creating my own pictures, but that’s probably just mee, being an elderly man :)

Complete rip off. Money says Man Utd v Arsenal will end up PPV while Burnley V Sheff Utd is featured game.

I pay my SKY subscription, I pay my BT subscription (admittedly the BT Sport package comes free with the Broadband) and I also pay my season ticket money. Now I’m asked to pay £14.95 for the Villa v Leeds game on BT Box Office.

The only way this won’t take off is people boycott it and I’ll be doing that.

There’s current vote on Twitter (1391 votes) stating only 11% will cough up the money.

LUTV was only a fiver for overseas, it was a tenner if you were in the UK/Ireland. So would you have paid or gone audio only?

Im from israel so haven't heard of it before. 15£ per match sounds like too much money to me. This is the price i paid for Nottingham v Bournemouth ticket in a descent seat half a decade ago in the championship.
This is a clinical exploitation of the situation.

In israel the channel that has the rights for PL cost around 20£ a month for 4 channels that also show bundes league, brazillian, portuguese league, some championship matches, and more... Potentially it will split into 2 channel packages that will cost twice, but still we have time till it happens.

So will you just not watch and maybe listen to it on the radio, or not follow at all?
