Re: Should I stay or should I go...?
I'm torn. If he came out and said I'm here til I die or the club don't want me, it'd be a massive short-term lift. However, the uncertainty and the club wanting him adds to his summer negotiating power and strengthens the squad. I think we bought really well last summer and we're unfortunate that 2 of those signings are injured.

The Newcastle game last night was Marcelo’s 114th game in charge. That means he has been the Leeds United manager/coach for longer than any other club or national team. That’s pretty significant, I think.

Rumours are if Ole gets the sack at some point Man U will go after him*.johnh wrote: I think Bielsa will leave at the end of the season if we stay up.
The thing is would he want to go and managed them!!
*I am hoping that he does not go to them.

Would he go to any other PL club? He isn't going to join the manager merry-go-round looking for clubs. Once he leaves Leeds, he will go back to Argentina, and who knows whether he will manage another club - maybe Newell's Old Boys one last time.Metro1962 wrote:Rumours are if Ole gets the sack at some point Man U will go after him*.johnh wrote: I think Bielsa will leave at the end of the season if we stay up.

It depends on what his goal is, if it was to get us up, then he may well go at the end of the season irrespective of whether stay up or not. I doubt if we go down he would stay.
He could stay whilst he thinks he has something to give. So if we finish top half and can be sold on the idea of getting us back to Europe, that might be enough.
Mind you, it could all depend on who owns the club, and how we finish not factor in to it.
