The following are scaled due to the forum's width restriction (click on images for full sized versions)

First we have the table as of Monday night and the PPG needed to get to specific points total. After some tough matches our PPG isn't great, so will we finish on 50, mid 40's, just scrape to 40?

Image

PPG predictions treat all future games equally, but in reality it can depend how good the opposition, so if taken in terms of league position (top/middle/bottom) and basing future results on how well they've done against other teams around there.

Then as half of the remaining games are against bottom 6 sides where we win nearly all, you'd expect the majority of our points to come from there. Wolves also have 5 of the bottom 6 to play, but are not as good at securing points against them.
Image

Fulham have yet to lose a game against a fellow bottom six side, but as they've only 2 in that section to play, they are requiring getting points against higher teams they have so far lost to. Brighton and Newcastle do better against the middle section than Fulham, and if that continues will be enough to keep them above the London club.

Stuart Dallas wonderful last minute winner At Man City, was Leeds 100th league goal, away from home under Bielsa.
Also we are on 99 home goals under Bielsa in the league. Having scored 199 goals & conceding 134. MOT.

Some seem to think we are mathematically safe

West Brom can still catch us - but they need to win every match, we lose every match and they need to overturn a 34 goal difference.

We are on 45 points after 31 games, ahead of where Sheffield United were last season, and Wolves the season before. Since the 2000-1 season only 4 teams have reached 45 or more at this point. The opposition must have been different then as it only occurred in 2 seasons and two promoted teams got to that level.

Image

Seven games left and you would think the lowest we will finish on is 54 if we win 3 of the 4 teams below us, but really we could finish on higher.

Team colouration - red means the team went straight back down - so were only in the PL the one season, and gold means they went down the following season.
38 is points total for the season, 31 is the points total after 31 games, and Pts is the difference between te two (i.e. in this case the final 7 games) with PPG meaning relative points per game.

By the end of the 2020-21 season, Manchester City will have played 29 different teams.

They will have beaten 28 of them...

True, but they bet them in the league cup.

Not sure about that didn't play Man City, we lost on penalties to Hull in the League Cup, we are the only team they have played this season and not beaten.
