Newly promoted Blackpool in 2010-11 were in 10th spot after 16 games with 22 points, but ended up being relegated in 19th with 39 points.
Mind you 17 from final 22 games is under 1 PPG, so long as we achieve that low target we'll be fine.

39pts is one of the higher if not the highest total to be relegated for a long time.

Given the number of points the bottom teams have accumulated so far along with the high number of teams chasing European spots I've a feeling it will be a record low required possibly 30 to 32 pts.

Even 1PPG would put us in the high 30's and most likely be enough. The bottom two teams are the most likely to go down, so it is only the third spot that could well change.

Still on course for a finish of above 46 points, so not sure we need to be overly worried about being anywhere near relegation. Just look how we are doing without three players who would be CB, we haven't collapsed.

A result against Spurs today would have been nice, but surely a loss was expected by most. The way we play may mean we get shown up by the top teams, but really it isn't those who we need to worry about, but teams below.

I have a dynamic predictor that says what we should win if say lose to top 8 but win to bottom, so after game GW16 this gave

Interesting comparison of each Club and what its cost in transfers to assemble their squads.

Really shows who is punching above their weight and who are failing miserably.
Have added how many places higher or lower are clubs are currently compared to where they arguably should be based on spending.
Leicester & Leeds 5 places up are best performers.
Arsenal clearly the worst.
