Peter Lorimer RIP

Another legend departed RIP. While Giles was my hero as a child it was much easier to pretend to be Peter Lorimer when kicking football with your mates. Just hit the ball as hard as you could and hope for the best. Watching some of the matches during lockdown it is evident that he was so much more than a powerful shot.

Also did a lot of work in keeping a bridge between the club and the fans in the not so good days

My favourite player as a kid. I still can’t take a shot at goal without smashing it and shouting ‘Lorimer!’

I’ll take my ball over to the school field later, and knock a few in in Peter’s memory.

Another sad day in recent history. Loved the guy & the word Legend is used way too easily these days but the word was invented for the likes of Peter.

I was 13/14 around 73/74 season, so managed to see a few of the Don's team in a few matches - As a young lad who thought he could play on the wing, Peter and Eddie were my 2 hero's in a team of hero's

Way before my time, but synonymous with the name Leeds United. In my living memory, always came across as incredibly humble. A legend to the last.

After the high's of winning in London last night we get the sad news that we knew was coming when it was announced Peter had gone in to a hospice.

RIP Peter one of the finest footballers to come from Dundee.
