Spot on ANS
I Will never visit that country again-one reason being is it would be on my mind the whole holiday-& after a few to many an argument would be started & god only knows what might happen
Plenty of other beaches to choose from

When Kewell went I was really astounded as he was involved, but if Alioski goes to me it is different. He has to think of his career and what is best for him. Whilst he has been offered a new contract here, he probably won't have a big role, and his stock value will be at it's highest and if he doesn't move, is unlikely to get a big contract elsewhere in a couple of years.

I'd prefer it if he didn't sign for Galatasary, but I won't speak about him with contempt if he does.

Me too. Alioski is a long way removed from that tragic incident and as fans we can't dictate a player's future for him because of our grudges. He didn't grow up a Leeds fan and while I'm sure he has sympathy for the families involved he also has to think of his own. The two lads will never be forgotten and this move doesn't change that. Over the years fans of every club, including ours, will have done awful things to opposing fans but that shouldn't mean that players are not free to play for whomever they choose. You could argue, maybe, that the club should just not deal with Galatasary, although in situations like this that could be problematic.

If, and it’s by no means confirmed, that he does go there he’s dead to me.

BB totally respect your views on this and the others who feel the same way, I loved Kewell at Leeds but when he went over to them it sickened me and I lost all respect for him and it really angered me.

I like Alioski, I think he brings something to the squad, maybe not even on the pitch though. He's no Kewell in terms of potential so I won't lose too much sleep if he does go but I can't feel the same way about him as I did Kewell. Saying that I hope they win nothing while he's there and fade into oblivion.

Kewell left Leeds for Liverpool so he wasn't particularly important to me by then anyway.

Alioski has been offered a 'good contract' and if anyone tries telling me he's financially worried and that he chooses to go there so it will make his future even safer than it already is, I won't believe them. He's not an idiot, he knows the hurt he will cause if he moves there.

The debate on here is reasonable, as usual, but the divide seems to be more about Leeds fans trying to fall out over this. I truly detest racism and xenophobic attitudes but I also can't do with hypocrites seemingly calling out/mocking/accusing fans who are against this possible transfer as some sort of rabid racists who hate Turkey especially. Thank chuff that sort of crap doesn't often appear on here :D

I have an awful lot of time for him, I think he has done more for the team & club than many realise or give him credit for... which probably means it will hurt that bit more if he goes to Galatasaray.

I've not got involved with this debate because feel its a very big "IF", just gut feeling its more to do with the Media that actually carry any fact.
Possibly lazy journalism started due to Macedonia having links to turkey and possibly a bit of an attempt to rock our boat given our thoughts on that Club.

Its a bit like we get linked with every Argentinian available based on MB been our manager.

Its something like 95% of transfer rumours that carry no substance but time will tell of course.

Sorry he must have seen Coops & others placing flowers by the plaque. He must have seen the banner in the ground. He must know how feelings run & so if he chooses to ignore this & join them then I’m finished with him.

Galatasaray and their supporters are "non grata" for me. The club has no place in the football world and their players, whoever they might be, is not worth a single thought for me.

Alioski is not a done deal but if that is where he want to be then he becomes a Yesterdays Man; never to be remembered for the past and not existing in the future.
