Time for us all to park the debate about whether he was overpriced (at least for a while ), and get excited about what he brings to the club. Aqua has put some great posts in the transfer rumours and squad discussions chat covering this, but for the uninitiated, James is unremittingly, horrifyingly quick. I'm still not clear what Bielsa plans to do with him given we have two nailed on starters in Harrison and Raphinha, and I personally can't see either of them being the solution at no.8/10, but it's a nice conundrum to have. DJ also just seems like another lovely chap, which I'm all for.

I'm happy with this one. Not sure just how much we needed another winger, but a quality player is a quality player and that's what we're getting in Dan James. Sort of player that puts opposition defences on the back foot and can always do something exciting.

Well, one of us now, regardless of any debate over the transfer. One thing is for sure, it's not Dan's fault how much we paid or didn't pay for him, so I definitely won't hold that against him now he's joined.

I hope he has a long and successful career with us.
