Well, The Peacock's alright since being done up but it's always packed.
I went there for a Tuesday night game though and it wasn't so bad, so maybe that's a decent option for midweek games.
Generally I start off/end up in town and don't bother drinking at or around the ground. The Taps used to be the main meeting place, but that was always packed so we ended up along the road and over the river in The Grove. I really like that dilapitated old place - it's a folk bar with a great range of ales - but recently we discovered The Tapped Brew Co. right in the middle of town on Boar Lane.
Fantastic beer selection - seriously ... absolutely brilliant.

I always meet my pal in the Whistlestop which is in Beeston at the bus terminus. There is also the Old White Hart as well.
After the game we usually walk into the city centre and 1st stop is The Grove which as Rigger says is wonderful if you like cask ales as they have plenty of choice.
Then you can go to the Scarborough Arm,Spencers and the Prince of Wales before going up onto Boar lane.
Saying that the Prince of wales was closed when i was last down at the start of this month.

The Whistlestops a good call decent beer and cheap food. Great walking down the steps with the panoramic views of the ground.
