When the attendance came up at the game, I knew I was close but unfortunately not close enough.

Well done to Nikos and a big thank you to NW for the competition which was very well supported by the way .

Thought I was close too - 19 away and not over the actual attendance

Congratulations Nikos (edited: or whoever did win), thanks for organising NW. That south stand singing lot let me down, didn't expect any empty seats in there - ultras  ;)

I start this by saying that I look in most days but don't often post, so I am happy for Nikos to have the prize - but I do think my guess of 23457 was closer than 23499 to the attendance of 23476 (19 away rather than 23 away) and was under the correct attendance, rather than over it.

I was amazed to have been closest and that is enough reward for me.

But a bit like a murderer, there is too strong a temptation to tell someone !

I don't play the lottery much, but I make it Wigan White's won it, as he's the only one who played all the numbers :D

Apologies if I've dropped a proverbial, will look at this more tomorrow as I've had a few sherries tonight with the kids. I might just have to cobble up 2 goody bags ;)
