David Haigh is quoted as saying 'Ken Bates did a fantastic job................we want to pick up where he left off'

If the time line of events is to believed DH knew PAPA was for the boot when he said this

Ken is now claiming in the YEP that he was unfairly sacked. It sounds like they fired him on a technicality, and I certainly hope that is the case. He deserves it.

At last our club is free!!!!!!!

Really no surprise that he is going out kicking and screaming (so to say), now be a good fellow, bugger off back to Monaco and don't come back :P
Owners come and go but Leeds United will be there forever, for the fans - keep Marching on Together.

In celebration of this weekend’s news, I’ve invented a new cocktail.
Called the Ken Bates, you keep trying to squeeze another last drop out of a glass which you’ve already emptied and it leaves a very bitter after-taste in the mouth. Despite containing no premier ingredients, it retails for a higher price than some cocktails that do.
It’s past its best before date and is only on sale to a few morons.
We're on our way to....

Been away with the Mrs over the weekend and deliberately left my phone at home.

Imagine my delight on my return after finding that "The man who saved our club" is no longer involved in it. Well done GFH-C for listening to the fans and for an excellent piece of underhand business. I suspect this was the plan all along an knowing of the mans previous business dealings waited until the were in a position to sack him.

Now Bates is about to sue them. I don't really think he would want any of his business dealings going through the British law courts, so it's probably a load of hot air.

Bye Bye Mr Bates.

Best news for a long time, I cannot express how much I despise that man - hope we never see him again in football.

His Talksport interview is hilarious, so much irony it hurts!!!

Safe to say i havent been on the forum all weekend and was (as sad as it sounds) geuinely looking forward to logging on this morning and reading everyones posts :D literally have a huge smile on my face.

I think this should be more than enough reason to get people back out and coming to games again obviously i know finances defy some but the people who use the bates excuse need to come back out and get behind the team and more importantly now GFH deserve alot of support.

Well done David Haigh, Salem and co.

Loved that he thought just because he had always been abusing the expenses that he should continue to do so. I'm sure there were MP's who thought similarly and got taken to court.

It seems a lot of detail is coming out in the wash. I wonder if there will be enough for a future book/film

Getting rid of KB is the best thing that's happened to this club for a long time. Good riddance to the odious parasite.
