Becchio

Post by Mellor »

“I was a big player at Leeds, an important player. That’s what I wanted to be at Norwich. I thought I’d been signed to be the goalscorer and prove myself in the Premier League"

He's fishing for a move in January. I hope BM's not biting. No suggestion that Warnock had nudged him out as many suggested - he simply wanted to better himself and so far has failed. He's gone and we move on. hopefully.

Never thought of Becchio as a Premiership player if I'm being honest. He made his bed he can lie in it as far as I am concerned..

Think it was a bad move by Norwich signing him in the first place mind, thought Houghton had a bit more football savvy than he obviously has.

We all want, or should want, to better ourselves in our careers with promotion and more money etc so I don't blame Becchio for one minute in that respect, and I am not sure he has failed either - he has simply not had the opportunities.

I find the whole thing with Becchio, and Morison in return, very strange. It seems nobody really wanted it to happen, other than Becchio perhaps, and he probably wishes it had never happened now.

I don't want Becchio back or any of the players who left us for as you say a better opportunity, i just wouldn't take to them the way i once did, I'm old fashioned and i believe in loyalty to the club, i know its rare in this day and age and I'm sure he could have left a lot sooner than he did, but times were tough and now that things are getting slightly better at Leeds you'll see a lot of former players wanting to come back here when their own fortunes are waining, sorry but were a better team now and a more organized one as well.
