I'm with ISR here, he has been the best thing that has happened to this club in a long time

Cellino this season has proved as an owner he is very astute and very good at running a football club but needs to be gagged. If we don't get promoted this season I'm more than happy Cellino still has a stake and a chance to get us promoted. Bates and gfh raped leeds and he actually gives a number 2s. Not the best owner but far from the worst

It included details of outstanding cleaning bills, security bills & included 15% of salary payments to players agrredcwith the FA & PFA - excluding Ramon Nunez. This in part illustrates how deeply in the number 2s financially when Cellino took over. Some have very short memories - I'm satisfied he has stabilised the club and secured our financial future, which was detrimentally impacted by the almost corrupted practices of Bates, GFH ably assisted by the chairman of the football league.

He also had the bottle, to pull out of a farcical sale to LFU who capital comprised of £500k cash and highly leveraged loans that would have made ridsdales funding look prudent.

Cellinos time is coming to an end, it is time for him to move on. However, fact, he is the only owner since silver who has put his own money in ... I thank him for that, and I thank him for appearing to have sold to an owner who will respect the clubs values, not the highest bidder like all the previous incumbents would. I only wish some who despise Cellino had a similar degree of anger towards the real villains who occupied the hot seats @ Elland road. Leighton, North, Krasner, Richmond, Bates, Harvey, Haigh, Patel and the other Arabs.

It had no bearing on any previous dealings - financial, hypothetical or otherwise by either Cellino or any of the other 'real villains' you mentioned above. My post had no reference to my opinion on the stability of the Club or its financial future. Not taking your reply personally, just wanted to clarify my point.
I think the 'short memories' dig was aimed at me, Cornishone. If so then it's wrong about me and inaccurate to imply that Cellino has done so much good. My memory's too long when thinking about all the rubbish we've had to endure on and off the pitch thanks to him and his nefarious ways. Anyway, none of it belongs on this thread, ISR knows where to start his in praise of Cellino thread if he wants to
I wasn't havining a pop at you pai ... your a top man. However the LFU thing was a farce... thank god he (Cellino) sobered up an renaged .. they had no money... just a dream of the socialist republic of Leeds united, whilst being played by funders getting a 7 % plus return on their money. Sorry but thank god he pulled out.
Same back at you, ISR.

However, that bit in bold is a serious allegation, unless I'm misinterpreting it, I've not heard of anyone gaining any money or interest out of the funds raised which are in escrow AFAIK. Need some explanation as to that comment please and I'll be following it up with questions to those involved.

Take it to PM, I'm not after a public war but there have been enough inaccuracies from the club under him without us getting stuff wrong ;)

I am not suggesting for one minute the guys made money out of the initiative. However their primary source of funding with the exception of the £500k; and let's say another £5m that could have been raised from the fans, was to come from high net worths / funds which were to get a handsome return on their money once the club returned to the Premiership. That 'return' imho would have lead to a serious lack of funding once in the Premiership, that would have resulted in our return to the championship.

Okay, thanks for clarifying mate. Not sure where the 7% came from or how you regard that as a terrible return anyway. LFU haven't quoted any such figures as far as I can see

The club borrows money, Cellino has borrowed money, LFU would have eventually borrowed money from lenders they chose, not from any old loaded shark or agent.

Much as I like and respect you ISR, you CAN'T tell the future and there's no way LFU eventually borrowing money - on their terms was the hope and they were confident of doing it - would definitely have spelled disaster, just like LUFC having a terrible credit rating doesn't necessarily mean the club couldn't sort itself out. Thankfully Radrizzani appears to have been a real business-like blessing and if Cellino deserves credit for that then great. Shame he can't financially master his gob and his tendency to break the law, the club must have spent millions on legal fees. I wonder how much better we would all feel if he wasn't so shady and so fond of court rooms. Another court case coming up soon, how long do they need to delay it before another broken law in Italy becomes decriminalised? :D

I think you are right saying you can`t tell the future ANS, who would have thought we would have been a top six side this season with Cellino still at the club.

Definitely not me, only because of his previous 'trigger happy' ways though. It doesn't matter to me who on here said what about Monk, I know some were very dubious about his potential to do well while others were pleased. I think we ALL said or possibly thought that if a decent coach was given a fairer crack of the whip so to speak, and I exclude Hockaday and Evans there, then the chances were higher. It is no coincidence that the club has done better since the owner, now the co-owner, has not tried to meddle, though something was definitely awry in that respect last Sunday!
