Last Person Standing

Post by Deleted User 2747 »

Hi, all!

I have volunteered to run 'Last Person Standing', this season as it is one of my favourite things on here.

As I have never done it before, I am open to any ideas for rules that people would like to use. (I am a great believer in democracy).

I proprose to start it from next week as it is a bit late for this week.

So the rules need to cover such as:

League only or cup also? - or seperate?
Who goes through - win or win and draw?
Use teams once like it was originally or re-use teams after each round?

Or anything else I haven't thought of?

Look forward to hearing your ideas.

  8-)

I like the idea of seeding it and giving me a bye into the 3rd round :D

Joking aside just go for it plenty of support if any issues.

Would just stick to weekend matches and maybe drop to only one specific division when down to only a handful left in.

Dependant on high participation, I'd say win only, but allow everyone a once off, second chance? Or maybe just in the first x amount of rounds, to prevent anyone having 2 chances late in the competition?

I was just thinking last night about, allowing 1 draw per person an dlike you say, maybe just at the start.

Ok.

As it is the start of the Premiership season this week, I am going to start with a first attempt at the Last Person Standing competition.

This week it will be The Premiership and just Saturday's matches.
Winning sides go through and those that draw go through but only for the first week.

Entries accepted until kick off in the Watford v Liverpool game.

(If there are more than 7 entries and we run out of teams, you can then select from the Scottish Premiership.)

Hopefully we will have a few entries.

(As organiser I will choose mine only from tomorrow, to be fair!)
