Tom Petty has been found dead at his home today. Really sad news. I really loved his music. He was only 66 years old. RIP and thanks for the music.

Stunning news, he looked physically v fit I thought, not a likely candidate for cardiac arrest. Top class musician and seemed to be a good and v popular man.

Re: The departed
Just reading the sad news about Tom Petty. They had just finished a 40th anniversary tour last week.

Re: The departed
Wonderful French character actor Jean Rochefort has died, aged 87.
Famous for lots of saucy farces in the 70s, he was actually a star from the late 1950s and was much loved in his homeland.
If you've never heard of him but don't mind a movie with subtitles, I would thoroughly recommend L'Homme Du Train in which he stars with one Johnny Hallyday. It would be a bit like John Hurt, maybe, starring with David Bowie .. only French
Great movie about a hitman who visits a sleepy suburb and ends up lodging with a retired academic while doing one last job in the town.
Turns out they're both the same age and yet they couldn't be any more different ..
Absolutely fascinating character study movie wrapped up in a thriller with some dark humour laced throughout.
RIP M. Rochefort.

Choirul Huda a goalkeeper in the Indonesian Football league has died aged 38, he was coming to claim a ball during a game and was collected by one of his own players, he suffered shocking injuries to his chest and jaw and he later died in the hospital of his injuries. He played for the Persela club who is an East Javan side.
RIP Choirul, so very sad and so very young!

Thoughts with him and his family this evening.
When you retire, you switch bosses - from the one that hired you, to the one that married you.
