Yes indeed VTHM, guess I'm frustrated that we can't visit Tad other than at the weekend when Rythre is always booked out!Viduka Hits The Mark wrote:Hey Map.. You should know more than anybody that you can't put a price on quality. I treated the Mrs to the early bird menu I think it was the 12oz we chose. Delicious!mapperleywhite wrote:Our friends in Tad highlighted the Rythre to us but it seems quite pricey, the cheapest steak being 8oz rump at £16.95. The 78oz is still there at £56.95!Selby White wrote:It's about 6 mile or so from me and you are correct it's a cracking steak house reputed to be the best in Yorkshire.Viduka Hits The Mark wrote:Talking of steak. Anybody visiting Tadcaster area I've no bones in recommending a place called The Rythre Arms. Cracking steak.
Do various size steaks don't know if they still do the "Rythre Monster" a 78oz challenge.
Good to see you got the pub spelling correct it's in a village called Ryther.

Re: What are you having for dinner tonight
Vihersalaatti, tomaatti-sipulisalaatti, lihapullasalaatti, marinoituja kasviksia, graavia lohta, kivikylän leikkele, punaviinissä haudutettua
possun filettä portviinikastikkeessa, aurajuustoperuna, riisi.
Short translation: on that list the main course is filet of pork in port sauce.
I will be having that at the local ice rink, watching icehockey.

Plaice fillets with sautéed potatoes, asparagus, green beans & peas. Nowt too fancy with the fish just lightly grilled with a little butter & lemon juice. I'm looking forward to it already

We live next door to a Hungarian family & every now & again they cook goulash, not a dish I'd normally choose but when they're cooking it the smell of that food is too die for.janecky wrote:Vihersalaatti, tomaatti-sipulisalaatti, lihapullasalaatti, marinoituja kasviksia, graavia lohta, kivikylän leikkele, punaviinissä haudutettua

Ice hockey here in Nottingham is a big sport Nottingham Panthers dominated British ice hockey for awhile.

I saw Panthers v Rauman Lukko (our local team) a few years back. I watched the match with John McGovern.

Just finished eating the above. The only change to the menu was a pint of London Pride instead of the glass of red. Really excellent meal, I am lucky to have a brilliant butcher.johnh wrote:Lamb chop (grilled), pots, peas, broccoli, mint sauce, gravy. Glass of red.

As we are in the season of Diwali a work colleague of Mrs MW brought in some special Home-made chapatis and a chickpea curry, so we’re accompanying that with chicken makhani and dhal from Morrisons

Nothing! I was in Wetherspoon's in Shrewsbury this morning and indulged in one of their Large Breakfasts.....(and a pint!) and I'm still stuffed!
