Met him once in the loos of a posh hotel somewhere, but I can't recall what the "do" was or where it happened.
I said hello and we had a cheery chat while holding our todgers at the urinal - our own, I hasten to add - and we were both a bit merry by that point.
RIP Mr Barron
Re: The departed
One of my favourite, favourite actors Keith Barron. A very natural and understated actor. RIP

Sad news, must admit I thought he'd died not long ago. He was hilarious in Duty Free and very good in anything I've seen him in. I have a vague feeling there is a LU connection but not sure why.
Re: The departed
Just checked and he was born in Mexborough near Doncaster, so you could well be right.Another Northern Soul wrote: I have a vague feeling there is a LU connection but not sure why.

Re: The departed
Pretty sure Duty Free was filmed in YTV Studios in Leeds (Kirkstall Road) but I think I recall an interview in which he knew his football stuff. Could well be wrong but he was a great underrated actor I think, as said already of course.rigger wrote:Just checked and he was born in Mexborough near Doncaster, so you could well be right.Another Northern Soul wrote: I have a vague feeling there is a LU connection but not sure why.

64, no age, but merciful release I think as I believe he's been ill for some while now?NottinghamWhite wrote:Malcolm Young of AC/DC has died aged 64
Used to absolutely love AC/DC back in Bon Scott's day, saw them several times and what shows they used to put on!
Not been same since he left us, imho.
RIP MY, thanks for the great memories.

Now that's sad bout Malcolm Young, RIP
one of my best memories of AC/DC was when they did long way to the top on the back of a truck in the middle of Melbourne
